FAQ

What is the format of these courses?  How do you facilitate them?

We understand how busy your professional and personal lives are! That is why we offer each of our courses “on demand” allowing you the greatest flexibility!  Our courses begin either the second or fourth Tuesday of each month so YOU DECIDE when you want to begin and then take the time you need to complete the course. YOU decide the end date of the course.  Once you register for a course you will be contacted by our folks within 24 hours.  We confirm your contact information with you, we order any textbooks that are required in your course and send them directly to your home.  The cost of these books are included in the course registration fee and will arrive at your door via Amazon within 2 days of your registration. Using your provided access code you can enter your course and begin your work.  As you complete each module, the course platform software will notify your instructor—they will review your work and provide feedback and additional suggestions either on Thursday or Friday following they being notified that you have completed a module.  Once you have completed the course, your final grade will be submitted to the university within two days.  By you having this flexibility you can set your own pace, take breaks from the class if your schedule gets too busy, and then pick up where you left off.  No time restraints that you might find in a traditional semester/quarter format. Developing your professional skills in a manner that compliments your professional and personal responsibilities.

Will there be required times during the week that I must meet with the other class members?
At no time during the course are all participants required to be online simultaneously.

I am not from Ohio, so could you tell me a little about the Universities that are your partners and will be issuing the university credits/transcripts? Are these universities nationally accredited?

Yes, our university partners are nationally accredited and will meet requirements as a provider for your state/district.  Ashland University graduate credits are accepted in all states! Please be advised to consult with your district or state credentialing office.

Ashland University: Ashland University is a mid-sized, private, non-profit university in Ashland, Ohio, United States. The university consists of a 135-acre (55 ha) main campus and several off-campus centers throughout central and northern Ohio. It was founded in 1878 and today, the university offers nearly 70 undergraduate majors and nine pre-professional programs. The majors include actuarial science, toxicology/environmental science and entrepreneurship, which are unusual for an institution of its size. In addition, it offers most traditional liberal arts majors as well as a wide range of majors in business and education. The education program, which offers pre-K through doctorate level courses, is one of the largest among independent and state institutions in Ohio.  Please visit their website for further information. https://www.ashland.edu/

What is the Continuing Education Unit Option?
In Ohio and in many other states you can complete training and receive a continuing education unit certificate that documents the hours of study that you completed.  For each of these courses you will receive a certificate that documents the 50 hours of study (10 hours=1 CEU so 5 CEUs).  Since the university fees are not required with this option it is much less expensive.  Please review this option with your LPDC chairman (Ohio) or your district/state licensure renewal contact to see how this option can work for you.  If you want to complete a course to increase your teaching skills this is the option you would select in purchasing a course.

When can I begin my course?
Because all of our courses are self- paced you set your own schedule, begin whenever you like and complete the course at your own pace.

When will I be able to access my grades, request a transcript?
Grades will be processed with the universities one week after the completion of the course; transcripts and final grades are accessed directly by the student with their selected university.  CEU documents will be sent directly to the student’s email address one week after the completion of the course.
